CAROLINA GOLD RICE
is the oldest medium-grain rice grown in the Americas. Dating back to 1685, this heirloom rice boasts a rich, nutty flavor and maximum versatility in the kitchen, prized by award-winning chefs and home cooks alike. Unlike so many of today’s medium-grain rice, it is not hybridized.

SANTEE LONG GRAIN RICE
is a longer, more slender grain than Carolina Gold that became popular at the turn of the 19th century. If you’re in search of a more toothsome texture and shorter cooking time without sacrificing flavor, this rice is for you.

Brown rice is revealed when the hull is removed from paddy rice that’s been harvested and dried. Then, brown rice is mechanically polished with a stone and the layer of bran is removed and white rice is left. During the process, some grains are broken into pieces like grits or rice middlins . When the rice is ground finely, you’re left with rice flour.
